Covid-19 has caused a strange feeling in all our stomachs. But as we take it step by step through these trying times, we begin to swallow a little daily positivity, calmness, and taste bits of learning and wellbeing innovation, alongside some large spoonfuls of resilience. Students - you're never alone, and even though it can feel like you are, there are various organisations like Push, plus universities, charities and teachers, working hard online to ensure you know that it is ok to say you're struggling and ok to ask for support...
Not only is the digital community here to help you, they've also been working their lockdown socks off to support you with wider fun activities, that can make you smile whilst throwing some useful tips your way. For example, if you can't go to a gig this summer in person, why not go to a gig this summer online? FutureMe are an outreach hub in north east of England, supporting less advantaged students to explore higher education and see if it might be an exciting route for them.
They are running HE Fest 20 this week, with main stage acts and superb headliners, to get you motivated and pondering inspiring next steps at 18. It's completely free, and will motivate you for summer better than a homemade Red Bull lollipop (we did mention getting innovative in lockdown).
Even Push are featuring on the main stage on Thursday. We're honoured of course...and have even been working out to Wicks and home hair-cutting to make sure we bring our A Game for our slot.
