what to think about if you're in y12: what faces you next year?

Your mates in the year above might be able to breathe a sigh of relief having submitted their final UCAS applications, and rightly so. But for you, the process is quickly becoming a reality. So now is as good a time to get your options after school ready.

If you've already got an idea of what subject you want to commit a few years of your life to, then kudos to you. Take a look at which unis might be good for you. Whether it’s the price of rent, how many UCAS points you’ll need, what sports teams they have or simply where they are, work out what matters most to you and start coming up with your shortlist.

If, however, you know you want to go to uni, but you haven’t the foggiest what you want to study, take a look at the complete university guide. It shows you the universities that offer particular degrees so you can start to narrow down the list. It's also easy to see all the available degrees that a certain university may offer so maybe having a look that way would be easier for you. UCAS also have their own search engine if you 

Remember though, it's more on the university and course that is right for you. Everyone's different so don't get too bogged down in league tables .

A few minutes spent looking at these resources now will save a lot of worry, panic and last-minute decisions next September.
