If you’ve just started uni, chances are the fresher events are still coming at you thick and fast. Your student union will make sure that the fun events keep coming throughout the year, but make the most of this exciting time, when your studies aren’t proving too stressful and there’s lots to do. As a quick summary, there are three functions of Freshers’ Week:
For more details on everything Freshers’ entails, head here. In this post though, we’re just focusing on the fun! Whatever you’re interested in, head out and explore what your uni has to offer. Research and go to society fairs to meet people interested in the same (or wildly different) things to you. If you’re a partier, arrange a club night out with your new flatmates, for some great bonding experiences. Not really your thing? Try joining a sports club – all abilities are catered for, so it’s a great opportunity to try something new. The first few weeks on a new campus are crazy, busy times, but don’t let them pass you by. They’re the perfect opportunity to meet friends, and everyone is in the same boat as you. Pretty much everyone is new to the campus, very few people will have friends and everyone will be nervous, no matter how they’re acting. These events are a great way to meet people, so get out there and find your tribe. AuthorLUCY HARDING is the Editorial manager for Push.
