Session Description
In this popular session, we use a gameshow-style discussion to reveal the different mixes of hard and soft, transferable skills needed for various jobs. We explore the most desirable skills for the ever-changing world of jobs in the 21st Century. We look into how to get these skills, and how to continue developing them in order to become resilient, adapted and rounded individuals. Students take part in an exercise where they pick a job, rate the strength of soft skills needed and rate the mix of careers they think it offers. We teach students the importance of creating a unique mix of skills for yourself and unis/employers, and how this creates a trade that benefits both the employer and you.
