Learning Objectives
- Techniques for oral and physical delivery of pre-prepared text
- Engaging an audience by using your entire body, not just your voice
- Help students build toward their own short delivery piece, with the aim of learning how to give and receive feedback to improve the way we deliver oral information

Session Description
This session, run by a professional actor, aims to explore how students can boost their text via stagecraft. We explore pace, variation, movement, and verbal and non-verbal ways to engage an audience. We also look at voice, facial expressions, posture and gesture. And how to lift your words from the page - to engage an audience. The techniques are designed to be transferable to employer and university interviews, as well as boosting crucial 21st century soft skills in presentation giving and debate.
