Enhanced Learning and Memory
In this session we teach students how making small changes to their lifestyle and learning environment can have a significant impact on the efficiency of their learning. Students discover what is important for the body in order to learn and retain new information. We discuss how different aspects such as our diet, learning environment and sleep can positively or negatively impact our learning and memory. In order to optimise learning, we teach students how to eat smart, train smart and rest smart. We show students short exercises to look after their day to day wellbeing which includes how to maintain a healthy relationship with social media, teaching students a simple, oxytocin-boosting activity that replicates the "buzz" of social media without the negative effects. By making small and simple adjustments, students will find learning easier and their attitude towards studying will be positively transformed.

Study Skills and Coping with stress
This session focuses on how the brain learns, whether it be through memories or reward patterns. Knowing how the brain functions provides individuals with a code to learn; when Push is not on hand to support a student, their parents/carers will understand how studying techniques and environment are crucial things to consider when a student revises and learns. Thinking about a students’ environment outside of school acknowledges that students are not only learning and studying in a classroom, Push understands that educating the people around a learning student can greatly improve their quality of learning.
Learning Objectives - Reflect on how memories are made and linked to environments - Discuss how one’s mindset depends on a good environment - Understand the importance of ‘Growth Mindset’ |
- Parents, Guardians, Carers
- In School Session or Webinar - Typically either 60 minutes or 180 minutes - 1-500 in school, 1-100+ on Zoom |
Study skills - Unchain your brain (level 2)
This session aims to help students understand that learning is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach and what they can do to make revision and exam performance tailored to suit themselves. Push will cover ways in which students can manage nerves and look into the different techniques for improving memory. No student should struggle at school; learning how the brain learns and how to help the brain work under pressure means students will harness a fantastic skill: staying cool under pressure. With holistic approaches covered such as managing diet, sleep and stress management, students will be educated on how to greatly enhance their learning experience.
Learning Objectives - Participants will better understand their learning process, how the brain forms memories and how they can make this process more effective - Participants will be able to utilise these techniques to study smarter not harder - Participants will learn to study effectively so they are better prepared when it comes to revision and exams - Participants will understand how each learner’s brain works and discover learning techniques that work best for them |
