Make the Most of Your Money – My Money Week 2025
Managing money well might not be top of your priorities right now, but it is a skill that will be forever useful. Whether it’s pocket money, your first earnings from a part-time job, or saving for the future, knowing how to make the most of your cash is a game-changer. That’s why Young Enterprise’s My Money Week 2025 is here to help you take control of your money.

What is My Money Week 2025?
My Money Week is a national activity week, run by the charity Young Enterprise, that gives young people across the UK the tools and confidence to understand and manage their money.
From 9 – 13 June 2025, the week is packed with fun and practical activities designed to boost your financial know-how. Whether you're in school or college, this is your chance to develop essential money skills that will serve you for life.

Why does it matter?
Money can be confusing. Budgeting, saving, and smart spending aren’t always taught in school; in fact, 6 out of 10 young people don’t learn about managing money at school. But research shows many young people want more financial knowledge and feel unprepared in how to manage their money.
Having a solid understanding of money can help you:
  • Avoid unnecessary debt
  • Save for things that matter (like that new item of clothing, a holiday or even a first car!)
  • Make informed choices about student loans
  • Feel confident about handling real-world money situations
With the cost of living rising, it’s more important than ever to learn how to stretch your money further and avoid common financial pitfalls.

What can you expect?
Young Enterprise provides schools with free, interactive resources packed with real-world money skills. These resources will help you take control of your cash and make smart money moves in future.
  • Budget like a pro – Learn how to track your income, manage your spending, and save for the things that matter.
  • Make smart spending choices – Discover the difference between needs and wants, and how to avoid impulse buys.
  • Banking & credit – Get the lowdown on student bank accounts, overdrafts, and how to borrow money wisely.
  • Understand your earnings – Decode your payslip, figure out taxes, and understand National Insurance.
  • Plan for expenses & savings – Budget for essentials like rent, food, and transport, and still save for the future.
  • Invest in your future – Learn about pensions, investing, and how to make your money work for you in the long run.

How to get involved?
Want to understand money better? Here’s how:
  • Take part in My Money Week - Ask your teacher if your school or college is taking part in My Money Week. If they haven’t heard about it yet, you could let them know it’s completely free to join!
  • Play & learn – Try our free Raise App, an interactive online game for 14–19-year-olds that explores how to grow savings, including Child Trust Funds, and how to make smart money choices.
  • Talk money – Chat with friends, family, or teachers about how they manage spending, saving, and financial goals.
Money management is all about giving you the freedom to make the choices you want in life. My Money Week 2025 is the perfect chance to learn new skills and set yourself up for financial success.
So, what are you waiting for? Get involved, start learning, and take charge of your future!
