Steeped in tradition, St Andrews is the oldest university in Scotland. The town has its fair share of history too, as well as a healthy obsession with golf. A cosy little community on the east coast of Scotland, locals and posh students get along swimmingly – they have to considering the campus occupies a substantial chunk of the town and students make up a third of its population.
