The University of Greenwich is the sort of place that should sport a monocle and a waxed moustache. The main campus at (surprise) Greenwich is in the stunning Old Naval College, nearby Avery Hill has a mansion and its own parkland, while Medway Campus (which is shared with three other institutions) is a former naval barracks. There’s good transport between the three, but that’s about all they’ve got in common so students should check where they’re going before they go..more details. There’s a hefty choice of courses but science and technical subjects are the prize winners..more on academic None of the sites are in party central but the Student Unions more than make up for that with their own entertainment..more on entertainment When they’re not organising high quality nights out the two (that’s right two) SUs are... well actually that’s most of what they do..more on SU Sports facilities are decent but concentrated mostly at the Avery Hill site..more on sports There is housing on all three campuses, but not enough for every student. That doesn’t stop the University from promising every first year somewhere to live though nor from usually keeping that promise..more on housing.
Woohoo: Guaranteed housing for all first year. Boohoo: The SU doesn’t really worry itself with representing students Tel: (020) 8331 8000 E-mail: courseinfo@gre.ac.uk Website: www.gre.ac.uk
