UWE (that’s the University of the West of England on the paperwork and ʻyou-ey’ to its friends) has its heart in Bristol, where it’s divided into four distinctive sites, much like the Crystal Maze. The main campus sits 5 miles north of Bristol city centre, with the others scattered around the town. There's also an agricultural college towards Gloucester and other sites in Bath and Swindon. Bristol's clubs, bars, museums, cinemas, theatres and other hotpsots leave no excuse for boredom...more on entertainment The SU has outposts at every site and societies from campaigning to cheerleading (though sadly not one for both)...more on the SU There are four full-time SU officers, a few counsellors and a student rep programme.
