Heythrop’s a wee slip of a college, right next door to Kensington Tube Station, in the Trustafarian heartland of chic boutiques and glitzy bars. Originally a training-ground for Jesuit priests, it offers courses in philosophy and theology and still maintains a strong Catholic aroma – many students and staff are members of religious orders...more detail Though this doesn't mean its a doddery old place with even dodderier views and (non)believers of any kind don’t have to worry about inquisitions, spanish or otherwise. Close quarters mean one-on-one tutorials are commonplace, with the highly respected lecturers also managing to attend the odd lecture...more on academic Sporting activity is as popular as a Big Brother contestant...more on sports and there’s no bar on campus, obliging thirsty students to throw their wallets at the mercy of Kensington’s uber-pricy watering holes...more on entertainment The University is now publicly funded, which brings fees down slightly, but there is still a lack of pennies in the uni's support bucket...more on welfare

Woohoo: Quiet, reflective atmosphere
Boohoo: As expensive as a 5-star Mauritian retreat, without the complimentary cocktail

I think gingerkitty is being very harsh, Heythrop is a specialised university. If your interested in studying philosophy or theology then this is the place to go. If you're more concerned with boozing rather than seriously studying then you should reconsider applying here. As for dirty toilets, it is a extreme old building but I have never experienced dirty or unhygienic toilets! The staff are lovely, extremely friendly and hardworking. They actually remember your name! There are a lot of mature students however they are normally studying postgraduates. Most undergraduates are in their 20's, even those who are maturer interact just the same. Heythrop is a tight knit community and not suited to all. However if it's a excellent education you want then Heythrop is the place to get it!

Is a very weird university, lecturers are unreachaable, especially the philosophy lecturers. Courseworks always missing, my cousin stayed 1 year and thats it, moved to Kings (happy) campus premises, toilets dirty, canteen, the most expensive of Kensington area. The admin always doing mistakes with database marks, my cousin had to reprint his essay. the computers, 20 old skool for 400 student, hideous. Also the average of students I would say is 40. Lots of retired in unuseful degrees not recommended.
